How did you enter the seed industry?
I grew up within the agriculture sector and had the desire to continue working in a similar setting, however, my experience in the seed industry began once I accepted this position with Curtis and Curtis. Before this journey, my knowledge about seed and the seed industry was quite limited. There is most definitely a learning curve associated with taking on this type of role, but I was eager to take on this challenge.
What is your favorite part about working here?
I took the opportunity to work at Curtis and Curtis because of the culture and the industry in which this business thrives. Our office is very much like a family and we care for our customers the exact same way. We are all here to help one another to the best of our abilities.
Tell us about your educational/professional background?
I am a graduate of The University of Arizona with an agricultural business and economics degree with an emphasis in agriculture economics. During my tenure at the university, I was heavily involved in collegiate agricultural programs. These allowed me to advocate for the industry while gaining more knowledge at the same time. I am able to apply my experience from my education to my day-to-day duties.
What is your favorite product you sell?
My favorite product to sell is the warm season native grasses we specialize in. I am continuously around this particular product inside and outside of the office which allows me to be quite familiar with it.
