Mark Peabody is the General Manager here at Curtis and Curtis Seed Company and has been part of the team since May of 2008. Originally from Texico, New Mexico, he graduated from Texico High School before attending Texas Tech University, where he earned a degree in Agricultural and Applied Economics. When he's not in the office, you’ll find him outdoors camping, hunting, and spending time with his wife Kelsi and their two boys, Cason (12) and Corbin (11).

How did you enter the seed industry?
Curtis & Curtis Seed was looking for a salesman around the time I was graduating from Texas Tech. Blake and Tye gave me a chance, and we've built a long-term relationship.
Why did you want to work at Curtis and Curtis Seed Company?
It was a family-owned business in the community that I grew up in. I knew a little about what they did but had no idea the markets they supplied and the potential that would come of it!
What is your favorite part about working here?
I enjoy the people that I work with on a daily basis. Our customers are also amazing people with a very optimistic outlook on agriculture. One of the best parts of my job is looking for grass throughout the southwest to harvest. I have the opportunity to see some of the most beautiful places in the world.
What is your favorite product you sell?
I enjoy selling Blue Grama. Blue Grama is extremely tough and very prevalent throughout the southwest. It is a great addition to all reclamation mixes and forage blends and is also a great grass planted as a monoculture.
