# Blue Grama, Hermits Peak
One of our foraging favorites, this specialty seed is ideal for Southwest climates. This Blue Grama variety was harvested directly from the Hermits Peak area in northern New Mexico. After the Calf Canyon/Hermits Peak wildfire spread across New Mexico, we knew we needed to include this robust native in custom seed blends like our [Hermits Peak Restoration Blend](https://curtisseed.com/hermits-peak-restoration-blend/). Our Blue Grama is a key component in bringing life back to destroyed land.
Because of its nutrient-packed blades and clumping growth pattern, the grass will continue to thrive even after grazing. This hardy grass is not just for livestock. With its resilience and drought tolerance, our Blue Grama is the prime seed choice for restoration projects, rangeland management, and even landscaping projects.
